Ashleigh + Kent

Ash and Kent’s story with us began about eight months out from their special day.
A beautiful couple from Mornington who’d opted for a destination wedding to Gippsland with their favourite people, paired with an absolutely stunning style brief… we knew we had a fun day on our hands!

We loved exploring ways in which to incorporate special details within the styling, remain eco-friendly and collaborate with amazing local Gippsland talent for Ash and Kent’s Mewburn Park wedding.
We presented a design brief of simple yet striking floral which would be designed to be relocated, pulled down and arranged again into reception pieces from the Ceremony.
Dreaming up ways to elevate simple details such as seating plan signage or the DJ bar and ensuring we had guest comfort front of mind every step of the way.
It was brainstorming ways in which we could repurpose floral and styling, remain time-efficient during setup and consider the heat January often brings to our backyard of Gippsland.

A ceremony in front of the old Oak tree was the perfect backdrop to our ‘pop up garden’ design which saw the aisle lined with floral wonder and a lush alter of floral arrangements to appear as if they were naturally growing up out of the ground right there. An organic aesthetic was applied to this ceremony design and
it was the perfect garden setting for Ash and Kent to say I Do.

For the Reception; Light fluffy clouds of Baby’s breath held centre stage suspended amongst the fairy lights of the marquee.
Simple table styling of glowing candle light and repurposed floral made way for the amazing share plates from Duart Catering as the menu was of high importance for the overall table styling.
Other ceremony floral used to elevate the bar, frame the Seating plan and stye the Gift and DJ tables meant every detail complimented the next. From the cotton hand-tied names upon french linen napkins, the stone-finished side plates, and crisp white chair cushions. Everything within the styling flowed beautifully.

It was oh so much fun! And we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work together with.
Working with Ashleigh and Kent really felt like a team effort which makes our role to play feel extra seamless and enjoyable. We worked with some of our favourite Gippsland vendors, met some new ones too, and we all worked together like the perfect well-oiled machine that’s needed throughout a wedding setup and pack down.
It was so wonderful to be able to create a day with the style of the City but with the heart of good old country spirit too, and the feedback we received on the day was just that.

Ash and Kent; you and your family were so lovely to meet. From our first venue visit together, to phone calls and emails in-between, the setup on the day itself and even pack down the next morning.
Just scrolling through the stunning photographs we've had the biggest smiles on our faces as we remember this day. It's so nice to see how much love and laughter was present. It makes us feel very humbled to have been a part of it all.

Thank you for having us style and floral for you and a big Congratulations to you both.

Amy + Gregg

Amy and Gregg; our super likeable, super laid back couple who just wanted to simply gather their loved ones for one heck of a party in an old cricket hall.

Set in their home town of Meerlieu in a century-old cricket club hall that kept dear to their hearts, we styled their chic-meets-country wedding boasting modern hues of black and white mixed with lush greenery and flowers.
The contrast between their style with the rustic timber features in the hall, paired with hints of copper detail
made the perfect mix for Meerlieu's wedding of the year.

Festoon lighting with foliage garlands suspended from the ceiling.
Timber table tops, sheer black table runners that lay gathered on the ends.
A sea of modern black, green and white floral arrangements.
x100+ hand written copper name cards.
A boho marquee wedding ceremony.
Vintage furnishings and rugs.
Amazing food, bar and tunes.
Fire pits and vintage baths filled with beer.

The perfect laid back mix for the couple to simply celebrate with their near and dear.

Amy and Gregg, you were a true delight to style for. Entrusting us to make history and seat the most people the MCG has ever seen,
and to decorate your day as you dreamed. What a magical day this was. Congratulations from Etc. x

Katie + Josh

What a journey we embarked on with an extraordinary couple.
We began the planning process with Katie and Josh almost 18 months out from the big day.
Concepts were designed to the very last detail when they suddenly had to change venues. Our team were there to roll up our sleeves and work on the back up plan that would wow our couple and have them even more excited for their day than ever.

After late night phone calls with strategies and action-plans, Katie and Josh were sold on the beautiful Wattle Point Retreat as their new wedding venue.
As their initial wedding concept was to be held outdoors amongst the gorgeous scenery Gippsland has to offer, we made this a high priority when re-designing their new look venue.
Capturing the beauty of all that Mother Nature as to offer and fusing those details into every touch-point of their wedding day was paramount.

Katie's love of the colour blue elegantly danced across each detail of their wedding day. Starting with their eye-catching aisle of fresh Delphinium standing tall.
We created an aisle that appeared as though the flowers were growing right there up out of the ground. As though mother nature was deliberately paving the way for Katie to walk down to her love.

After their seaside nuptials concluded, guests were invited to the reception gardens for champagne, canapés and games amongst the banksia trees. Cocktail furnishing and pallet lounges were styled to provide a comfortable rest in-between games of coights and naughts and crosses.

The reception doors then opened and guests were invited to find their seats in preparation for the Bride and Groom's return to the party.
Bespoke signage guided guests to their designated tables as they walked into a room with a canopy of lush foliages and glowing fairy lights. The perfect elegant touch of outdoors to bring inside for the remainder of the event.
Tables adorned in blue and white blooms, silverware and flickering tea light candles. Hints of timber elements to soften the room and sentimental touches Katie and Josh's grandparents had made as decorations all played a part in celebrating these two families coming together.

Katie and Josh, we couldn't have asked for two better clients to help on such memorable day. You were a pleasure to work with. You entrusted everything in us and this truly allowed us to pull everything together so wonderfully for you on your special day. Thank you for being a dream to work with and for allowing us to be a small part in your big day.
From myself and our entire team, we congratulate you and send all our very best wishes.
Here's to you katie and Josh.
