Winter Wedding Styling at Amarti Estate: A French Château Editorial in Regional Victoria

Amarti, Cowarr VIC

If you've ever dreamed of a European wedding without leaving Australia, Amarti Estate in regional Victoria is where that dream lives.
With its stone façades, arched windows, and manicured grounds that wouldn't look out of place in the Loire Valley, Amarti is one of the most architecturally stunning wedding venues in Victoria - and in winter, it transforms into something truly extraordinary.

We recently had the privilege of bringing a full venue styling and floral installation to life at Amarti for an editorial shoot, and the result was everything we'd imagined: moody, romantic, and deeply considered.

Why Amarti Estate Is Victoria's Most Breathtaking French Château-Style Wedding Venue

Amarti Estate captures the essence of a French château in a way very few Australian venues do. The stone architecture, grand reception spaces, and sweeping outdoor grounds give couples the visual drama of a European destination wedding, without the destination price tag or the logistical complexity.

For couples searching for French château wedding venues in Victoria or European-style wedding venues in regional Victoria, Amarti sits in a category of its own.
The venue's bones do a significant amount of the work which means every styling decision we make is in conversation with architecture that already has a strong point of view.

That's a beautiful creative challenge, and it's one we relish.
Especially in combination with our Venue Styling & Floral service where everything is all inclusive, by one experienced design-led team.

A Winter Editorial: Moody, Luxurious, and Intentional

Winter weddings in Victoria are having a moment, and for good reason. The low golden light, the muted tones of the landscape, and the permission to lean into richness and texture create a visual palette that simply doesn't exist in the warmer months.

For this editorial at Amarti, we leaned all the way in.

The floral palette was built around deep, velvety tones of burgundy, plum, antique blush, and chocolate punctuated with garden roses, hellebores, and trailing tulips. Nothing was overly structured; the installations had a gathered, abundant quality that felt as though the arrangements had grown there, tumbling across gathered tablescapes and pooling in candlelight.

The venue styling was equally deliberate. We worked with long linen-draped tables, antique taper holders, textured glassware, and layered textiles to create tablescapes that felt cultivated over decades rather than assembled overnight. Every surface told a story.

The overall result was a cohesive editorial that felt genuinely French in its sensibility.
Restrained in structure, opulent in detail.

Venue Styling: Creating a World Within a World

At Etc. Events, we believe venue styling should transform a space while honouring it. At Amarti, that meant working with the venue's inherent grandeur rather than trying to override it.

The styling brief for this editorial centred on French countryside luxury.
Think textured linens, warm candlelight, antique tableware, and an atmosphere that felt as though you'd been transported to a private estate in Burgundy.

The result was a tablescape and ceremony setting that felt editorial without feeling cold, luxurious without feeling over-produced.

Etc. Events is a design-led wedding styling and floral studio operating across regional Victoria and beyond, established in 2011. We work with a small number of couples each season to create fully considered wedding environments from ceremony florals and reception centrepieces through to complete venue styling, furniture curation, and the quiet details that make the whole day feel cohesive.

Our work has been featured in Vanity Fair, Hello May, and Ivory Tribe, and we're proud to work with some of Victoria's most architecturally distinctive wedding venues, including Amarti Estate.

We offer three venue styling experiences designed to suit different visions and budgets, and we work closely with each couple to ensure the result reflects them, not a trend.
