You know when you find ‘your people’. The ones where you just click and having a conversation just feels easy. It’s a real treasure when you cross paths with people who are genuinely so kindhearted, down to earth and completely entrusting in your guidance and your art.
It’s something I never take for granted, especially being involved in such an important milestone in those people’s lives. Well, Sheridan and Joel were these kind of people through and through. Our kind of people.
We clicked. We laughed. We shared our love for Golden Retrievers and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to bring their dream day to life. For welcoming me and entrusting me to create flow within their timeline to designing a styling concept and bringing it to life, quite literally from the layout to the last bloom.
Their day will be one I’ll remember for some time.
It’s the people (couple), the team and the overall atmosphere that make a wedding truly unforgettable.
The whole day just had this wash of calm over it from when I first arrived on site to the midnight pack down.
Everyone at Hubert Estate were so accommodating and kind. And the vendor team was such an incredible lineup of humans.
I wish we could go back and do it all again!
Ok, i’ll stop with how awesome of a couple Sheridan and Joel were, let’s talk about the styling details….
Their ceremony on the lawns of Hubert Estate amphitheatre featured an alter installation of wild and romantic blooms and foliages as their statement piece. Complimented with matching aisle arrangements and florals nestled with their welcome sign. Everything designed to be transferable to their reception space later.
Guests enjoyed canapés in the gallery before being welcomed in to Harriett at Hubert Estate for the reception.
With a large modern space available to us we worked with Sheridan, Joel and the venue team to create a floor plan that utilised the space wisely and kept everyone feeling connected.
We divided the space in to three areas. The dance floor and bar to the end, opening up on to the outdoor terrace. In the centre of the room we situated the guest and wedding party dining tables opting for a mixed layout of trestles and rounds to keep things interesting and bring some depth. To the far end we had lounge nooks and the gift table near the second bar for a quieter area where people could still enjoy a comfortable conversation away from the music. This space also opened up on to a second outdoor terrace area.
Table tops were styled with modern monochrome look to compliment the modern interior of the reception space. Single stems of white roses and black taper candles.
Bespoke hand-written place cards upon each guest place setting and shared menu cards were laced in between.
Along with the styling we supported Sheridan in Joel with our partial planning service with a key focus on creating a timeline that flowed easily but also included all the important moments they wanted to experience and capture between their 5pm ceremony and when their reception commenced.
It was such an honour to work with them across these areas of their wedding day, as well as their extended vendor team.
The attention to detail, the level of care the staff at Hubert Estate and the vendors on the day had were honestly 11/10.
Sheridan and Joel, a huge congratulations to you both.

“It’s honestly hard to pick a standout moment because the entire process was just incredible. From the moment we met with Lauren, (online and then in person at our venue) we felt comfortable and confident that our we had made the right decision and that all of the planning and coordination would be taken care of. We felt listened to and our vision board was exactly what we imagined, which then came to life on our wedding day. The communication was fantastic, we always knew what was going on and never worried about anything. On the day, it was so special to see Lauren and have a moment to see the beautiful space she had created before all of our guests entered. The whole planning and coordination process was a highlight for us in our wedding planning.”
