Billie + Tyson

From the moment we met with Billie, it was an instant collaboration of ideas, appreciation for the natural beauty in blooms and complete trust in our creative ability to bring her and Tyson’s strong vision from discussion to design concept to actuality.
It was a true honour to work with these two and create a magical atmosphere for their favourite people.

As guests entered the property they were greeted with a wide-span view of lush green gardens flowing down onto the ‘old tennis court’ where in the corner we created a ‘pop up garden’ for their Ceremony that would blend seamlessly with the natural gardens of the venue but still create a sense of awe and beauty.
We designed a ground arch in crisp whites and greens that appeared to organically grow from the ground up, nestled underneath the canopy of Oak tree branches before a row of white guest seating lined with more ‘pop up gardens’, ivory umbrellas and petal cones to signify their aisle.
It was magic. A Portsea party meets romantic garden soiree. Just the right dose of class and sophistication with a sprinkle of fun.

Following the formalities of their Ceremony; Billie & Tyson’s guests were treated to canapés and pre-dinner drinks in the gardens by the homestead. Lawn games, champagne and music played the perfect backdrop for guests to relax and mingle as they eased into the evening ahead.

The Marquee; The final surprise for their guests.
Guests journeyed through the gardens after canapés to find themselves greeted by an elegant and modern dinner setting in the Marquee.

Styled with clean lines of crisp white linens and stone textures, paired with the romance of Roses and curving Phalaenopsis Orchids with the elegance of flickering candlelight. Kept simple yet striking.
Our team relocated all Ceremony floral and transferred them into individual masterpieces of their own.
Planned to be re-homed to frame custom seating plans, accompany the bar and dj booth, and bring a subtle sense of the outdoors in as guests dined underneath the canopy of fairy lights.

Billie & Tyson; It was such a pleasure working with you. It is always so inspiring to work alongside people that share your creative passion and see your vision, and who are open to genuinely collaborating to bounce ideas back and forth to create a remarkable environment that all your loved ones can enjoy and celebrate in.
I must say, standing back as you both walked into the marquee space for the first time wandering the rows of tables together and seeing the excitement and joy on your faces is a moment I will always hold dear.
As a designer, nothing brings us more joy and a sense of ‘we got it right’ than seeing the elated expression you had that afternoon.
Thank you for allowing us to play such a special part in your day. Something we truly treasure.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Leys.

“Thank you so much Lauren. The preparation and planning was so fun with you and to see it all come together exceeding my expectations was just magic. You brought our dream vision to life and played such a big part in our magical day. What a vision we created!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Emma + Chris

Ten years in the making. The theme for Emma & Chris’ gorgeous wedding day as they celebrate not only tying the knot, but ten years of togetherness too.

We had an absolute ball working closely with Emma on designing and dreaming up her and Chris’ wedding day. With a nod to the beautiful garden of Mewburn Park Homestead, paired with the elegance of fine dining, we created a stunning day for this couple and their favourite people.

We sourced modern metal arches that were later customised to fit the venue (and a rainy day backup plan if needed) with the plan to repurpose these throughout the day but also remain a prominent feature for both Ceremony & Reception in the cohesive arc detailing.

The ceremony took place underneath the old Oak tree with an arch full of lush florals as their backdrop.
It was the perfect whimsical garden setting for these two, with a cocktail and canapés soiree to follow in the gardens of the homestead.

Guests were later welcomed into the clear marquee reception where they were met with a space designed to emit elegance through luxe linen details, polished gold cutlery, lots of glowing candle light and stunning floral centrepieces. Your eye being instantly drawn down the entirety of the space to soak in all the beauty with a trio of floral arches as a stunning focal backdrop to the bar at the end of the marquee.

Stationary and signage were all hand selected to compliment every other detail within the reception space.

Bespoke cocktails and a Gin bar were also featured, along with a gallery of family photographs to pay tribute to those who were no longer with them to celebrate their day, with lit candles in their memory.

Emma and Chris, it was an absolute delight to work with you both.
To kick off 2021 with your gorgeous day was a true pleasure and we absolutely loved that we could team up with you and discuss designs, colours and textures with our shared creative enthusiasm.
Thank you so much for allowing us to play a part in your day. We are still on cloud nine, even months later!

A big congratulations to you both and we sincerely wish you all the very best in your next chapter as husband and wife.

“Oh Lauren, where do we start? Thank you so very much for the role you played in making our dream wedding day a reality. You understood our vision from the start and were so easy to work with throughout the process. The end result was beautiful. Seamless incorporation of big elements into finer details, a space for guests to relax, laugh and enjoy the moment, and overall a feel that was everything we hoped for. You’re amazing at what you do and I will forever be grateful everything you did for us and our day.”

Ashleigh + Kent

Ash and Kent’s story with us began about eight months out from their special day.
A beautiful couple from Mornington who’d opted for a destination wedding to Gippsland with their favourite people, paired with an absolutely stunning style brief… we knew we had a fun day on our hands!

We loved exploring ways in which to incorporate special details within the styling, remain eco-friendly and collaborate with amazing local Gippsland talent for Ash and Kent’s Mewburn Park wedding.
We presented a design brief of simple yet striking floral which would be designed to be relocated, pulled down and arranged again into reception pieces from the Ceremony.
Dreaming up ways to elevate simple details such as seating plan signage or the DJ bar and ensuring we had guest comfort front of mind every step of the way.
It was brainstorming ways in which we could repurpose floral and styling, remain time-efficient during setup and consider the heat January often brings to our backyard of Gippsland.

A ceremony in front of the old Oak tree was the perfect backdrop to our ‘pop up garden’ design which saw the aisle lined with floral wonder and a lush alter of floral arrangements to appear as if they were naturally growing up out of the ground right there. An organic aesthetic was applied to this ceremony design and
it was the perfect garden setting for Ash and Kent to say I Do.

For the Reception; Light fluffy clouds of Baby’s breath held centre stage suspended amongst the fairy lights of the marquee.
Simple table styling of glowing candle light and repurposed floral made way for the amazing share plates from Duart Catering as the menu was of high importance for the overall table styling.
Other ceremony floral used to elevate the bar, frame the Seating plan and stye the Gift and DJ tables meant every detail complimented the next. From the cotton hand-tied names upon french linen napkins, the stone-finished side plates, and crisp white chair cushions. Everything within the styling flowed beautifully.

It was oh so much fun! And we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work together with.
Working with Ashleigh and Kent really felt like a team effort which makes our role to play feel extra seamless and enjoyable. We worked with some of our favourite Gippsland vendors, met some new ones too, and we all worked together like the perfect well-oiled machine that’s needed throughout a wedding setup and pack down.
It was so wonderful to be able to create a day with the style of the City but with the heart of good old country spirit too, and the feedback we received on the day was just that.

Ash and Kent; you and your family were so lovely to meet. From our first venue visit together, to phone calls and emails in-between, the setup on the day itself and even pack down the next morning.
Just scrolling through the stunning photographs we've had the biggest smiles on our faces as we remember this day. It's so nice to see how much love and laughter was present. It makes us feel very humbled to have been a part of it all.

Thank you for having us style and floral for you and a big Congratulations to you both.

Luci + James

A little over a year in the making; we absolutely loved working with Luci and James on bringing their wedding visions to life. It started with a mood board of a very different look and feel that originally paid tribute to the autumn tones of the venue’s property but took a different design approach once Luci had discovered her stunning bridal gown.

The styling and floral detail were designed to compliment the gorgeous Bernadette Pimenta Couture wedding gown Luci was to wear whilst including some important favourite details the couple admired.
Soft blush tones, romantic textured linens, glowing candlelight, billowing blooms, Dahlias one of Luci’s Favourites), superb stationary and guest comfort were all important considerations within the styling elements of the day.
We wanted Luci & James’ guests to feel warm and welcomed to Gippsland. We wanted them to feel comfortable away from home and to experience this day with the style of the city whilst showcasing the country charm that Gippsland has to generously give.

Set at one of our favourite venues; Luci and James wed on the old tennis court of Mewburn Park Homestead.
A gorgeous lush setting that gave a subtle nod to James’ passion for the game of tennis.
Framed by custom gold stands with whimsical floral installations in front of their favourite people in a beautiful March garden setting, Luci and James said I do.

Guests were invited to refreshments and canapés in the upper garden where the homestead played backdrop to an afternoon of lawn games and catch ups between friends and family before being escorted to the Marquee for the main affair.
Walking down the gravel drive way alongside the historic Maffra homestead, guests were welcomed to a view of rolling green lawns, a lake with farm views and a stunning sunset over the red brick stables in the background before entering a clear-span marquee styled to perfection.

A custom seating plan guided guests to their seats underneath a canopy of glowing festoon lighting & feature floral installation.
Gathered french linens paired with the fresh floral, candle light and polished gold cutlery set the scene for a superb dinner with Duarts Catering ahead.
Each place setting was designed down to the very last detail. The layout of the gold cutlery, the personalised stationary and menus, the hand-tied linen napkins and bespoke side plates. Each place setting was designed with guest experience in mind for this was the seat of someone near and dear to our newlyweds and so each detail within their space here had to be seamless. -A part of the reception styling we love creating!

The bar was stocked with Australian and local favourites, and framed with gorgeous floral on either side while soft white backdrop draping gently flowed in the afternoon breeze.
Every corner you turned was like a dream. From the florals, to the stationary, the custom made DJ bar, the fragrance coming from the Duarts kitchen and the stunning country sunset over the Mewburn Park farm.
It was truly breathtaking.

“I would say It was evident from our first discussion, that Luci’s vision for her and James’ wedding day was one that swept us off our feet and carried us on a dreamy wedding journey we will forever remember.
A combination of their enthusiasm and love for our little local pocket of Gippsland, Eye for detail and gorgeous style, and their hospitality and kindness toward not only their loved ones but to us and our supporting vendors is a testament to the wonderful couple they are and we feel so very fortunate to have met them and worked alongside them on such an important occasion.”

“Even with a week of some of Gippsland’s worst Bushfires that posed a very real threat on some of our vendors, properties, logistics and suppliers, I truly believe that when your client’s creativity, values and vision align with your chosen team of vendors it is the perfect recipe for an incredible wedding day and an enjoyable process in itself. And for that I thank you Luci and James for entrusting and supporting us and our team of vendors in your day.
Luci and James; Congratulations. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you both and a time we will certainly treasure.”
