Matt & Lauren

Admittedly, this wedding we’re featuring is actually our very own day held in the Autumn of 2024 at our favourite Mewburn Park Homestead.

I wanted to share a snapshot of our special day with you to shine a light on what is possible for a cocktail-style reception and how we blended our love for the countryside with our love for a beautiful homely feel…. and lots of flowers!

Our garden ceremony was situated in front of old farm gates and designed to feel like you were amongst an abundance of fresh flowers. I used to be a florist myself and I remember in our shop the feeling when you’re surrounded by so many fresh flowers. Their smell, their beauty. It just instantly makes you feel happy and that’s what I wanted to recreate in the floral designs for our wedding day.

Matt and I couldn’t choose a witness for our registry signing so we decided to incorporate a little bit of our son Xavier’s love for tractors and John Deere and picked a random name out of his old farm hat.
That was a great moment to per people’s attention and give our guests a little laugh.

Cocktail hour was followed with a lavish grazing table and open bar by the stables.

Before guests were welcomed into the clear marquee decked with provincial furnishings and a wall of flowers behind the bar for a styling statement.
Whenever I create a floor plan for a cocktail style reception, I like to incorporate a mix of furnishings to cater to all guest ages but also give texture to the space overall and guide your eye from one moment to the next within the space.

I am quite nostalgic and so we decided to pull our family and friends together to home bake our favourite childhood sweets to contribute to a dessert table. Think grandma’s jelly slice, rum balls, and we included Matt’s all time favourite -A woolies mud cake.

It’s little touches like this that can allow you to put your stamp on your day but still encompass an elevated feel.

Scroll down to view our dream team who helped bring this day together.

Morgan + Cooper

It’s truly something when a colleague in the wedding industry reaches out and asks you to design and style their engagement party. Their ‘Australian wedding’ because they’re eloping later in Vegas.
To say I was honoured is an understatement.

Morgan sent me her Pinterest board of beautiful modern monochrome styling and edgy textures mixed with soft cascading roses and florals. I knew this was going to be a ball of fun putting something together for her and Cooper’s engagement. And I was very blessed to have their full trust in letting me run wild with the design based off their Pinterest board inspiration. So much so, that they didn’t 100% know what it was going to look like but wanted to arrive to that level of surprise and add to the feeling of being a guest that night, themselves.

Using local suppliers, we designed a cocktail-style event that catered to the modern, elegant vibes whilst still feeling relaxed. We achieved this by zoning the marquee into sections.
- The quiet Guest seating for conversations & dinner.
- The entrance, the features.
- The ‘hang out by the bar’
- The dance floor and courtyard.
And then using varied types of furniture, heights, textures and layering them with soft glowing candlelight, linens and mixing floral designs with soft roses and textured branches.

It was about the balance between soft and elegant and modern and textural.

Guests walked the footpath towards the marquee with a gorgeous backdrop of tall Cyprus hedging behind.
A custom duo welcome sign set the tone for the evening ahead. The entry point was layered with several focal points that lead your eye through the space, on a journey to help set the mood for the evening.
To the right; a feature cake table with floral creeping up the leg of the table. Then central; the Bar with large striking floral arrangements to anchor the centre of the marquee space and bridge it between the quiet guest tables on the left and the party on the dance floor to the right.

Every single detail was considered. Intentionall. And cohesive.

Thank you Morgan and Cooper, so so much for trusting us to design and create this space for your beautiful Engagement. It was such a pleasure being a part of this special day for you both and I can’t wait to see how epic your wedding day in Vegas is to follow xx

“I work with Lauren in the wedding industry and I trusted her with our vision for our engagement party.
I gave a mood board on the style I was heading towards. She NAILED the brief.
We walked in not really knowing what to expect but she blew us away. Beyond our expectations.
10/10 she made the process so easy. I trusted her and she delivered!!”

Jess + Jack

Private Property wedding in Darnum, Gippsland.

When you meet a couple and you just get along from the get-go. When they trust your ideas, welcome you in to their home and you can have a laugh but also talk business. Jess and Jack were my kind of people.
Lovely people to their core and the speeches from their family and friends this night was a testament to that.

It was my honour to help Jess and Jack host their dream day at their forever home.
They’d purchased property in Gippsland and were renovating the grounds, to which they did an epic job as transforming in time for their wedding day.

We situated a large canvas marquee on their property and styled their cocktail reception with mix of tables and relaxed furnishings, complete with dance floor and an open-air feel as the styling extended out on to the lawns under the stars.
Weather was partially in our favour, however the rain came during the night but it was fortunate we had catered for a larger marquee and floor plan since our initial concept which meant we could accomodate an indoor dance floor and keep the band, dj and guests dr through the night.

Their Ceremony was styled close-by with a pop-up-garden feel for their alter.

Guests were treated to cocktails from Lady Francesca and amazing wood fire pizzas and canapés from Happy Camper Pizza.

Jess and Jack, a huge thank you for welcoming us into your home and a part of such a wonderful milestone in your lives. It was an incredible day and an absolute pleasure working with you guys.
Our biggest and heartfelt congratulations to you both x

Lauren, where do I even begin… From the first contact we had with her right at the beginning of our wedding journey, we knew we were in good hands. Lauren’s communication, professionalism, attention to detail, compassion and kindness to constant changes of mind is beyond what we expected. Lauren truly listened to our visions and dreams for our day and made it happen, no questions asked - nothing was ever too much. Lauren helped two of the most anxious people breeze through an experience that felt incredibly overwhelming for us at times and we are so incredibly grateful for that.
Fast forward to the wedding day and everything was perfect. Lauren and her team had everything in hand and we did not have to worry about one thing on that day enabling us to enjoy and party the night as if we weren’t getting married at home. Thank you so so so much to Lauren and her team.

Laura + Harry

Laura and Harry’s day comprised of light, bright and elegant details as they hosted their intimate guest list for an Autumn garden wedding at Mewburn Park in Maffra.

Classic floral urns for a backdrop to their I Do’s before a delicately hand-crafted aisle to resemble a rose garden pathed the way to Laura’s love as Harry stood awaiting his gorgeous Bride.

Guests were treated to canapés and bubbly in the gardens following the ceremony, and later to an intimate feasting style dinner in the clear-view marquee.

Laura and Harry’s reception space was styled with a balance of crisp whites and greens and neutral sandy tones to soften the design.
A feature floral installation floating above the bar and the Ceremony florals relocated for their second moment.
And once the sun set, dessert was served under a canopy of glowing fairy lights and stars.

Laura and Harry; you were an absolute delight to work with. Thank you for entrusting us to bring your vision to life, it was truly our pleasure getting to know you both. Congratulations again guys!

And if you’re considering a more intimate wedding like this, 50 guests, then this is your sign that intimate weddings are just as stunning.
Don’t you think!?

“11/10! i wish i could give lauren a million stars!!! She is unreal. her talent in bringing your vision to life is seriously unparalleled. our wedding was everything we could have hoped for and more.

but not only that, lauren has the kindest heart. she is so easy to work with, so humble, professional and generous too. she went above and beyond, even with the details that had nothing to do with styling, like the besutiful note she left in our wishing well that bought tears to our eyes.

Lauren is the best. we couldn’t recommend Etc. Event Styling any more.”

Nikki + Tim

Well it’s safe to say the vibrant colour of their wedding styling certainly matched the electric vibe they and their guests brought to their epic wedding day. From my team’s perspective; we couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces all day. It was just such a magic feeling in the air that made our work feel less like a job and more like our purpose.

Nikki and Tim; you were such a delight to work with right from the get-go and I feel so honoured to have been a part of your day. Your down to earth, warm nature, kindness and trust in our ability to bring your vision to life is something that will always stay with me, so thank you.

The Ceremony:
We love ourselves a garden ceremony, and bringing this level of fun and colour but still including a sense of elegance was just a joy to create. A statement alter of plinths with textured urns and cascading florals dripping with lemons and limes meant we quite literally brought a new level of zest to an elegant wedding ceremony. Balancing this out with our choice of traditional urns, simple matte plinths and matching white chairs created that balance we dreamed up in the concept-stage of designing.

Every detail complimented the next. So cohesion was easily woven through their day from their bridal Bouquets, to their Ceremony and in to their stunning Reception.

We paired back their canapés to really let the surroundings of the gardens create that relaxed atmosphere and kept the next part of the wedding day a surprise.

x163 Guests were invited to a sit down dinner in the clear marquee. Long rows of tables with beautiful linens and meticulously lined-up bentwood seating created precision which naturally lead your eye down the entire length of the space to the feature bar at the end where we relocated the ceremony urns and grouped fresh citrus and candles.
To help bring in a sense of relaxing atmosphere; we styled the table top with mixed bud vases of seasonal bright blooms and tall coloured inner candles. All varying in height to create a bit of depth against the clean lines of the tables and chairs all in a row.
We mixed linens, having the outer two tables with gathered runners revealing timber table tops underneath. Whilst the middle row featured grey weave table cloths to again, dance between elegance/ refined with a relaxing vibe. Choosing to knot the napkins also brought in a layer of texture to relax the dining experience.

We absolutely loved working with Nikki and Tim and their incredible vendors to bring their day to life.
We definitely kicked off 2024 with an absolute banger.
Thank you Nikki and Tim…. was truly such a pleasure x

We cannot thank Lauren and her team enough. From our first meeting with Lauren we felt confident we had found someone who understood our brief and was going to be able to create the most magical setting for us. The day was everything we dreamt of and so much more, and so much of that we owe to Lauren.

Lauren made the process such a pleasant experience, with great communication and a calming presence, we knew were in great hands.

It is clear to us that Lauren is a beautiful person who is hard working and gives her all to her work, and we can't recommend her more highly!

Hayley + Luke

Can I just start by saying Hayley and Luke’s day was every bit as magical as the photos look.
They were honestly such a delight to work with and I feel so grateful that they trusted me to bring their vision to life in a way were a little bit of old-world-romance, meets a touch of Bridgeton with a hint of modern elegance thrown into their wedding design. When I say it like that, it sounds like such a mixed bag of design choices but the way these elements came together on the day were just stunning.

Their ceremony set in the gardens under the shade of the old Cyprus trees in front of the historic mansion laced with romantic florals in a soft colour palette with classic white bentwood seating helped bring a sense of fresh modern feels to the classic garden setting.

Guests were invited to enjoy canapés and bubbly under the mansion’s verandah and inside it’s historic foyer filled with the most gorgeous ornate plaster detailing, ceiling roses and chandeliers you can only imagine fit for an 1800’s politician and mining entrepreneur in it’s day. (the history of this heritage listed mansion)

The Reception was held in the estate’s pavilion, which I’ll let you in on a little secret… is actually an old basketball stadium but you wouldn’t know it from the light and airy draping and fairy light-filled ceiling.
Over 100 of their guests dined in a space with crisp white linens so the muted blush and toffee tones of the florals and napkins could add that subtle pop of colour to the space.
Centrepieces in a mix of tall and petite to create depth were designed in ornate crystal glassware while the hand made calligraphy name cards in gold spoke to the old-world-romance style, too.

I absolutely loved working with you Hayley and Luke. Thank you so much for having us a part of your day, it truly was such a pleasure and I absolutely loved working with this unique venue.
…If anyone is keen, I already have some creative marquee reception ideas (wink wink)

Mia + Tom

We first met the lovely Mia & Tom 10 months out from their wedding date and instantly we hit it off.

We teamed up together to help plan and coordinate their incredible day held onTom’s parent’s stunning property in Brandy Creek VIC.

And if there’s one thing we’d love for you as the reader to take from their day, aside from the gorgeous photography, beautiful florals or sense of family & love that leap off the page - it’s perhaps the fact that on Mia & Tom’s wedding day, it actually poured with rain from Ceremony until all through the night… which you mightn’t pick from Kristy’s stunning photography but that’s the point.
Mia & Tom didn’t let it dampen their spirits. In fact, they kept the vibe as high as the rain gauge that day and I fill forever fondly remember signing off for the night, giving them a big hug and leaving them to belt out ‘Man I feel like woman’ in the pouring rain on the dance floor with their entire guest list.
It was electric and word on the street afterwards was that it was one of the best weddings for 2023.
Proof that rain doesn’t ruin wedding days. So let Mia & Tom’s story and gallery be the poster-girl for you if you’re faced with a bit of rain too.

PS: If you’re after tips on how to prep for rain on your wedding day, check out our Youtube episode here.

Now, let us paint a picture of their incredible day….

Their Ceremony set on top of a hill overlooking the mountain views featured a collection of white and green florals by Pepperberry Flora upon plinths which made such a stunning alter for Mia & Tom.

Guests were then invited to the main residence to enjoy signature cocktails and canapés by the pool and amongst the absolutely gorgeous gardens.

Dinner for x168 guests was held in the lower garden by the lake in a clear-span marquee styled with elegant whites and greens to carry through their crips/ modern aesthetic into the reception space with a Bar made by Tom himself and outdoor dance floor under a canopy of festoon lighting.

Guests (and the couple) were later treated to a surprise firework display during their first dance which gave us all goosebumps as it just made that moment next level magical.

I can’t thank Mia & Tom enough for having us a part of their special day and to their families for welcoming us into their home.
One thing I know the entire vendor team could attest to is that although it poured with rain, the feeling that came through strongest that day was love. You could feel that from each and every person who attended your day and showed up to celebrate you. From the speeches to the dance party afterwards, it truly was electric and you are so blessed to be surrounded by that guys.
Congratulations, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you xx

Isabella + Garrett

There are some couples who you meet and you instantly know, they’re your kind of people.
This was Isabella & Garrett. And I know their other vendors can also say the same.
Such a joy to work with and be around, lots of laughs, and complete trust in our creative ability which I am always so grateful for.

Isabella & Garrett, you were a dream. Thank you so much for having us a part of your beautiful day.

Their Ceremony was set in the gardens of Mewburn Park Homestead under the old oak tree with modern metal frames adorned in sweeping romantic babies breath and orchids for a stunning alter backdrop which complimented their bridal party beautifully.

Guests were later welcomed into a modern reception space styled with long rows of guest tables featuring soft cascading linens paired with modern single-stem vases and of course, glowing candlelight (always!) which made for a beautiful simplistic styled dinner.
Relocating their gorgeous ceremony pieces back to the marquee by the Bar and around the venue created the perfect balance of effortless and abundance.

A dream day for a dream couple with a dream team. Truly

“Lauren from Etc. Wedding & Event Styling worked with us to style our wedding day at Mewburn Park Homestead in January. From the get go, Lauren was professional, knowledgeable and responsive but most of all kind and passionate about what she does. Thank you for making our wedding day really special. The styling of the ceremony pillars and florals, the bouquets, the button holes, the repurposing of the flowers and the stunning table settings put together were just magical.

Thank you for the ease in which our day was executed with your team. We had total trust in you that everything would go smoothly and throughout the entire planning process you were such a pleasure.
Thank you again.”

Meg + Jesse

From the moment we met Meg and Jesse and their families, we knew these were our kind of people. The kind you just hit it off with, who you can have a laugh with and who you know you can create true magic with. So teaming up with M&J to help them host an incredible day on their family property was one of our fondest experiences and one we will forever cherish.

Set on their family private property, in a paddock with stunning mountain views, we created a white and green provincial oasis, with hints of fun and a kiss of lemon throughout.

Guests were greeted at the garden gate with a glass of bubbly before meandering through the gardens, mingling under the shade of trees before being welcomed to take their seats at the ceremony.

With a backdrop of rolling mountain views, Meg and Jesse’s ceremony featured tall focal floral pillars at the alter . Think stunning roses, orchids and lush sweeping greenery. Gorgeous.
The aisle also lined with floral, white bentwood chairs and canvas umbrellas for shade set the tone for their summer nuptials.

Whilst the papers were signed guests were served lemoncillo shots and everyone joined in a toast to the newly weds as they were announced Mr & Mrs.

Delicious canapés were served and signature cocktails were a hit at the bar.
Their cocktail-style reception featured provincial lounges and high bar tables which flowed from inside the marquee, on to the deck with a feature bar installation, and then onto the grass underneath a canopy of festoon lights. The idea to encourage mingling and layer the styling around the dance floor and feature bar.

Our team relocated their stunning feature floral pillars to create a feature entry to the marquee and frame their champagne-tower moment. All details from their ceremony were transformed and repulsed to incorporation into the reception design.

Inside the nearby barn we styled the foyer for a quiet relaxing place for guests to retreat to with a secondary bar and tea and coffee station. A relaxing quiet space that sill looked and felt a part of the main wedding, styled with matching provincial furnishings and lush florals.

Meg and Jesse; It was an absolute pleasure working with you and we sincerely thank you and your families for welcoming us to the property and being so lovely and accomodating. It is evident that you are surrounded by some truly special folk, which was so heart-warming to witness on your special day.
You both have hearts of gold and will be forever grateful to play a small part In your amazing day. Thank you for entrusting us, your hospitality and being such a joy to work with.
Congratulations to you both, we wish you nothing but the best in this next exciting chapter together.

- Lauren and the Etc. Team x

“Lauren is absolutely amazing at what she does! She made planning a wedding at home
feel so easy. We had a huge blank canvas to work with, which Lauren organised furniture to florals to styling it to perfection! Lauren and her team were so amazing to deal with, from site visits, floor plans, plan Bs, to countless emails back and forth, nothing was too much of an ask.

Lauren fine-tuned all the details of our day and it was everything we could have imagined
and more. As well as coordination on the day, Lauren was on site,
literally running around making sure everything was perfect for us.
Everyone commented on how amazing her team was in the lead up and during our wedding. Highly recommend Lauren and her team for any event!

Thank you so much Lauren for all of your guidance and knowledge,
I wish we could do it all over again!”

Maddi + Jordan

Admittedly I only met Maddi and Jordan on the morning of their wedding day, during setup.
But I’m so glad we met. They are just a delight, and you tell they’re what soul mates are meant be.

Maddi and I shared a few emails prior as she was looking for some finishing touches to her wedding reception and I was more than happy to help out. We sourced lots of candles and glassware and incorporated some of our linens and chair cushions to help soften the reception space.
Although we only played a minor part in their epic day, I am so glad we crossed paths and that I got to help these two bring their vision to life.

It was evident from that setup morning that there was a lot of love here.
Jordan and his Groomsmen arrived to setup the hand-made details they’d put together and the care they had in nailing things perfectly showed the level of love there was for making this day incredible.

I loved how there was this sense of everyone coming together on the day. Not just Jordan and his crew of helpers, but also Mewburn’s team and the girls from Willow Branch etc.
Maddi had planned and orchestrated a fabulous team who calmly pulled off a beautiful day, all whilst having a ball and lots of smiles.

See below for Maddi and Jordan’s full gallery as the photographs from Morgan Lee show just how much love there was on this day.
So thrilled I was asked to be a part of your day guys. Thank you for allowing us to share and a big Congratulations to you both on your incredible wedding day x

Billie + Tyson

From the moment we met with Billie, it was an instant collaboration of ideas, appreciation for the natural beauty in blooms and complete trust in our creative ability to bring her and Tyson’s strong vision from discussion to design concept to actuality.
It was a true honour to work with these two and create a magical atmosphere for their favourite people.

As guests entered the property they were greeted with a wide-span view of lush green gardens flowing down onto the ‘old tennis court’ where in the corner we created a ‘pop up garden’ for their Ceremony that would blend seamlessly with the natural gardens of the venue but still create a sense of awe and beauty.
We designed a ground arch in crisp whites and greens that appeared to organically grow from the ground up, nestled underneath the canopy of Oak tree branches before a row of white guest seating lined with more ‘pop up gardens’, ivory umbrellas and petal cones to signify their aisle.
It was magic. A Portsea party meets romantic garden soiree. Just the right dose of class and sophistication with a sprinkle of fun.

Following the formalities of their Ceremony; Billie & Tyson’s guests were treated to canapés and pre-dinner drinks in the gardens by the homestead. Lawn games, champagne and music played the perfect backdrop for guests to relax and mingle as they eased into the evening ahead.

The Marquee; The final surprise for their guests.
Guests journeyed through the gardens after canapés to find themselves greeted by an elegant and modern dinner setting in the Marquee.

Styled with clean lines of crisp white linens and stone textures, paired with the romance of Roses and curving Phalaenopsis Orchids with the elegance of flickering candlelight. Kept simple yet striking.
Our team relocated all Ceremony floral and transferred them into individual masterpieces of their own.
Planned to be re-homed to frame custom seating plans, accompany the bar and dj booth, and bring a subtle sense of the outdoors in as guests dined underneath the canopy of fairy lights.

Billie & Tyson; It was such a pleasure working with you. It is always so inspiring to work alongside people that share your creative passion and see your vision, and who are open to genuinely collaborating to bounce ideas back and forth to create a remarkable environment that all your loved ones can enjoy and celebrate in.
I must say, standing back as you both walked into the marquee space for the first time wandering the rows of tables together and seeing the excitement and joy on your faces is a moment I will always hold dear.
As a designer, nothing brings us more joy and a sense of ‘we got it right’ than seeing the elated expression you had that afternoon.
Thank you for allowing us to play such a special part in your day. Something we truly treasure.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Leys.

“Thank you so much Lauren. The preparation and planning was so fun with you and to see it all come together exceeding my expectations was just magic. You brought our dream vision to life and played such a big part in our magical day. What a vision we created!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Emma + Chris

Ten years in the making. The theme for Emma & Chris’ gorgeous wedding day as they celebrate not only tying the knot, but ten years of togetherness too.

We had an absolute ball working closely with Emma on designing and dreaming up her and Chris’ wedding day. With a nod to the beautiful garden of Mewburn Park Homestead, paired with the elegance of fine dining, we created a stunning day for this couple and their favourite people.

We sourced modern metal arches that were later customised to fit the venue (and a rainy day backup plan if needed) with the plan to repurpose these throughout the day but also remain a prominent feature for both Ceremony & Reception in the cohesive arc detailing.

The ceremony took place underneath the old Oak tree with an arch full of lush florals as their backdrop.
It was the perfect whimsical garden setting for these two, with a cocktail and canapés soiree to follow in the gardens of the homestead.

Guests were later welcomed into the clear marquee reception where they were met with a space designed to emit elegance through luxe linen details, polished gold cutlery, lots of glowing candle light and stunning floral centrepieces. Your eye being instantly drawn down the entirety of the space to soak in all the beauty with a trio of floral arches as a stunning focal backdrop to the bar at the end of the marquee.

Stationary and signage were all hand selected to compliment every other detail within the reception space.

Bespoke cocktails and a Gin bar were also featured, along with a gallery of family photographs to pay tribute to those who were no longer with them to celebrate their day, with lit candles in their memory.

Emma and Chris, it was an absolute delight to work with you both.
To kick off 2021 with your gorgeous day was a true pleasure and we absolutely loved that we could team up with you and discuss designs, colours and textures with our shared creative enthusiasm.
Thank you so much for allowing us to play a part in your day. We are still on cloud nine, even months later!

A big congratulations to you both and we sincerely wish you all the very best in your next chapter as husband and wife.

You understood our vision from the start and were so easy to work with throughout the process. The end result was beautiful. Seamless incorporation of big elements into finer details, a space for guests to relax, laugh and enjoy the moment, and overall a feel that was everything we hoped for. You’re amazing at what you do and I will forever be grateful everything you did for us and our day.”

Ashleigh + Kent

Ash and Kent’s story with us began about eight months out from their special day.
A beautiful couple from Mornington who’d opted for a destination wedding to Gippsland with their favourite people, paired with an absolutely stunning style brief… we knew we had a fun day on our hands!

We loved exploring ways in which to incorporate special details within the styling, remain eco-friendly and collaborate with amazing local Gippsland talent for Ash and Kent’s Mewburn Park wedding.
We presented a design brief of simple yet striking floral which would be designed to be relocated, pulled down and arranged again into reception pieces from the Ceremony.
Dreaming up ways to elevate simple details such as seating plan signage or the DJ bar and ensuring we had guest comfort front of mind every step of the way.
It was brainstorming ways in which we could repurpose floral and styling, remain time-efficient during setup and consider the heat January often brings to our backyard of Gippsland.

A ceremony in front of the old Oak tree was the perfect backdrop to our ‘pop up garden’ design which saw the aisle lined with floral wonder and a lush alter of floral arrangements to appear as if they were naturally growing up out of the ground right there. An organic aesthetic was applied to this ceremony design and
it was the perfect garden setting for Ash and Kent to say I Do.

For the Reception; Light fluffy clouds of Baby’s breath held centre stage suspended amongst the fairy lights of the marquee.
Simple table styling of glowing candle light and repurposed floral made way for the amazing share plates from Duart Catering as the menu was of high importance for the overall table styling.
Other ceremony floral used to elevate the bar, frame the Seating plan and stye the Gift and DJ tables meant every detail complimented the next. From the cotton hand-tied names upon french linen napkins, the stone-finished side plates, and crisp white chair cushions. Everything within the styling flowed beautifully.

It was oh so much fun! And we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work together with.
Working with Ashleigh and Kent really felt like a team effort which makes our role to play feel extra seamless and enjoyable. We worked with some of our favourite Gippsland vendors, met some new ones too, and we all worked together like the perfect well-oiled machine that’s needed throughout a wedding setup and pack down.
It was so wonderful to be able to create a day with the style of the City but with the heart of good old country spirit too, and the feedback we received on the day was just that.

Ash and Kent; you and your family were so lovely to meet. From our first venue visit together, to phone calls and emails in-between, the setup on the day itself and even pack down the next morning.
Just scrolling through the stunning photographs we've had the biggest smiles on our faces as we remember this day. It's so nice to see how much love and laughter was present. It makes us feel very humbled to have been a part of it all.

Thank you for having us style and floral for you and a big Congratulations to you both.

Luci + James

A little over a year in the making; we absolutely loved working with Luci and James on bringing their wedding visions to life. It started with a mood board of a very different look and feel that originally paid tribute to the autumn tones of the venue’s property but took a different design approach once Luci had discovered her stunning bridal gown.

The styling and floral detail were designed to compliment the gorgeous Bernadette Pimenta Couture wedding gown Luci was to wear whilst including some important favourite details the couple admired.
Soft blush tones, romantic textured linens, glowing candlelight, billowing blooms, Dahlias one of Luci’s Favourites), superb stationary and guest comfort were all important considerations within the styling elements of the day.
We wanted Luci & James’ guests to feel warm and welcomed to Gippsland. We wanted them to feel comfortable away from home and to experience this day with the style of the city whilst showcasing the country charm that Gippsland has to generously give.

Set at one of our favourite venues; Luci and James wed on the old tennis court of Mewburn Park Homestead.
A gorgeous lush setting that gave a subtle nod to James’ passion for the game of tennis.
Framed by custom gold stands with whimsical floral installations in front of their favourite people in a beautiful March garden setting, Luci and James said I do.

Guests were invited to refreshments and canapés in the upper garden where the homestead played backdrop to an afternoon of lawn games and catch ups between friends and family before being escorted to the Marquee for the main affair.
Walking down the gravel drive way alongside the historic Maffra homestead, guests were welcomed to a view of rolling green lawns, a lake with farm views and a stunning sunset over the red brick stables in the background before entering a clear-span marquee styled to perfection.

A custom seating plan guided guests to their seats underneath a canopy of glowing festoon lighting & feature floral installation.
Gathered french linens paired with the fresh floral, candle light and polished gold cutlery set the scene for a superb dinner with Duarts Catering ahead.
Each place setting was designed down to the very last detail. The layout of the gold cutlery, the personalised stationary and menus, the hand-tied linen napkins and bespoke side plates. Each place setting was designed with guest experience in mind for this was the seat of someone near and dear to our newlyweds and so each detail within their space here had to be seamless. -A part of the reception styling we love creating!

The bar was stocked with Australian and local favourites, and framed with gorgeous floral on either side while soft white backdrop draping gently flowed in the afternoon breeze.
Every corner you turned was like a dream. From the florals, to the stationary, the custom made DJ bar, the fragrance coming from the Duarts kitchen and the stunning country sunset over the Mewburn Park farm.
It was truly breathtaking.

“I would say It was evident from our first discussion, that Luci’s vision for her and James’ wedding day was one that swept us off our feet and carried us on a dreamy wedding journey we will forever remember.
A combination of their enthusiasm and love for our little local pocket of Gippsland, Eye for detail and gorgeous style, and their hospitality and kindness toward not only their loved ones but to us and our supporting vendors is a testament to the wonderful couple they are and we feel so very fortunate to have met them and worked alongside them on such an important occasion.”

“Even with a week of some of Gippsland’s worst Bushfires that posed a very real threat on some of our vendors, properties, logistics and suppliers, I truly believe that when your client’s creativity, values and vision align with your chosen team of vendors it is the perfect recipe for an incredible wedding day and an enjoyable process in itself. And for that I thank you Luci and James for entrusting and supporting us and our team of vendors in your day.
Luci and James; Congratulations. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you both and a time we will certainly treasure.”
