Grace first came to us with a vision of a Euro-inspired wedding just outside her home town in Ceres (Geelong).
initially envisioning layers of bright and bold colours to reflect a Mediterranean summer, Grace and Nathan decided to pivot their concept to lean into more of a garden feel whilst keeping touches of Mediterranean details to weave throughout.

Grace took on a large portion of the Planning herself but asked us to step in and help support her coordinating the many moving parts of their day, finalising some last minute vendors as well as floral and style their day.

We worked on designing a complete styling and floral concept of them.
Sourcing and planning their marquee, lighting, flooring and furniture supplier and incorporating that furniture selection into our styling concept and reimagining their floor plan.
As well as completely setting up, relocating items from ceremony to reception and packing down all styling, decor and floral elements.
And of course coordinating their entire day from start to finish. Not just on the wedding day itself but working with the extensive vendor team, managing logistics and in-depth run sheet details months prior.

How their day went:

As you can imagine a wedding of this grandeur takes many days to create so work at the Ceres property itself commenced several days prior with a complete build from the ground up.
Starting with an expansive clear-view marquee featuring white-washed timber flooring throughout.

Guests arrived by coach and were then shuttled up to the top of the property where they were greeted with refreshments overlooking the the mountain views across Geelong.

Their ceremony featured a pop-up garden of florals upon the bowling green which overlooked the same stunning views before guests moved to the lawns and terrace for signature cocktails and canapés by the team at Truffle Duck.

The marquee reception boast the perfect blend of fine dining with party vibes for later in the evening.
An entrance styled with established trees, baskets of lemons, florals and glowing candle light before guests stepped in to the dance floor space and greeted by a stunning double sided circular bar as a feature in the reception.
Florals adorned every surface, suspend above and created a backdrop to the bridal table at the end of the marquee.
A mixed table layout was designed to create depth in the large space having rows of rectangular trestles mixed with rounds and their bar designed to divide the space beautifully between dinner and dancing.

Outside the marquee was a canopy of festoon lighting with mixed lounges and bar tables for a casual setting outdoors, again, taking in that gorgeous expansive view.

Every detail was so thoughtfully considered. From the orientation of the marquee to floor plans to linens to stationery and floral selections.
Designed to utilise the space wisely, create contrast as well as moments to anchor the larger marquee and create feature moments throughout.

Of course, in true Etc. style, we also repurposed all ceremony floral and decor to the marquee afterwards.

We felt so privileged to work with Grace, Nathan and the property owner Norm and care-taker Eric to bring a full-circle service to their wedding day. Not only do we get to know everyone well, but well get to know their wedding day like the back of our hand so when shots need to be called at a moment’s notice, we can confidently make those decisions in the best interest of the couple whilst respecting the property and it’s owners.

We can’t thank Grace and Nathan enough for having us a part of their incredible day.
It was a true pleasure and labor of love over many months.
And the incredible team of vendors, suppliers and freelances who helped bring their day together.

A big congratulations to you both. Your day will stay with us forever x

Lauren helped shape my ideas into concepts and real-life visuals -something my husband really needed to help see what the day was going to look like!
Etc. significantly understood all the elements of what a private property wedding involved and eased the stress of trying to coordinate all of that myself!
I didn’t need to think about a single thing as I knew it was all planned for, cared for and would be managed by Lauren and the team if required. It allowed me to be truly present on the day.
10/10 recommend getting this service - Particularly if you are doing a private property wedding!
